AMWA NMOS

Minimum Status Reporting Developers Workshop
(AMWA NMOS BCP-008)

Week of 24 Nov 2025

at Bisect in Porto, Portugal

Who's it for?

This workshop is aimed at developers with the goal of digging in, doing some coding, and moving things forward.

This is a unique opportunity to get guidance from the spec developers to kickstart your implementation of IS-12/BCP-008!

Scope:

• Hands-on with the recent NMOS specifications, including but not limited to those related to NMOS Control, Config and Minimum Status Reporting (IS-12, IS-14, BCP-008-01, BCP-008-02).

• (If time is available) explore the issues of scalability and failover

• Provide a face-to-face meeting for the NMOS community.

What to expect:

The Minimum Status Reporting (AMWA BCP-008) NMOS Workshop for an opportunity to be face-to-face with the NMOS community and a hands-on with the recent NMOS specifications in particular those related to NMOS Control and Minimum Status Reporting.

The aim is for every participant to be able to kickstart their implementation journey of NMOS Control with emphasis on Minimum Status Reporting. The plan is for 3 main tracks:

•  Media node vendors already using nmos-cpp looking to add support for IS-12/BCP-008

• Media node vendors looking to add support for IS-12/BCP-008 in their own development framework using their own specific development language

• Controller vendors looking to add support for IS-12/BCP-008

We want each of these tracks to guide vendors as to what is involved, the resources available and help them deliver some early milestones which could then become the basis on which to build their implementations.

Next, there will be a tested event prior to NAB. This will be a opportunity for you to advance your implementation.
